‘Labeled’ nominated for 5 Rosie Awards at the Alberta Film & Television Awards 2023

Labeled Docuseries Nominated for 5 Rosie Awards at the Alberta Film and Television Awards

I am so excited to announce Labeled has been nominated for 5 Rosie Awards at the 50th Annual Alberta Film & Television Awards.

LABELED for BEST DOCUMENTARY SERIES
LABELED: THE MISSING, MURDERED, AND FORGOTTEN for BEST PRODUCTION REFLECTING CULTURAL DIVERSITY
JUSTIN KUEBER for BEST SCREENWRITER (Documentary Over 30 Minutes)
TOMAS ANDEL for BEST OVERALL SOUND (Documentary Over 30 Minutes)
GEOFF MANCHESTER for BEST ORIGINAL MUSICAL SCORE (Documentary)

As I sit and type this, I can’t help but reflect on this eye-opening, fascinating journey that has spanned almost four years now. It wasn’t always easy – especially with this type of heavy subject matter – but this was a story that needed to be told and I am so grateful for the opportunity to tell it.

A big thank you goes out to Andrea Heinz, Randy Tat, AMPIA, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, DOC Alberta, ESIO, and the talented actors, crew, and documentary subjects who trusted me with the most intimate details of their lives and truths. I am so proud of our dedicated, hardworking team for being recognized for their amazing work. Congratulations to all the other nominees and see ya’ on the 30th!
